The scope
Primary bathroom rebuilt from the subfloor up: new waterproofing membrane, zero-threshold shower, and radiant floor heat.
The original bathroom had a slow leak into the kitchen ceiling below it that nobody could find for a year. We found it in the first hour of demo — a cracked shower pan with no membrane behind the tile, the standard failure mode for a 1970s tile job.
Everything went back with a sheet membrane system rated for a lifetime, a curbless shower entry, and radiant heat under the floor tile. The subfloor was replaced, not patched, which is the part of a bathroom remodel that nobody sees and everybody should ask about.
