New fiber-cement siding, restored original trim details, and a rebuilt front porch matching the 1908 original.
The original cedar siding had failed in patches but the trim details — the brackets, the porch columns — were worth keeping and restoring rather than replacing with modern stock profiles. We matched new fiber-cement siding to the original reveal width so the restored trim still reads correctly against it.
The front porch was rebuilt to the original footprint using the one surviving corner as a template, rather than to a generic craftsman porch design pulled from a catalogue.
